Well yesterday (November 1st) marked the day we held the Spooktacular Future Faces Charity Pageant and what a day it was with 23 participents, 8 supreme titles, 6 queens, 1 Champion and 7 princesses crowned!!!
In our Halloween section we saw witches, ghosts, princesses, superheros and much much more! Every contestant brought their 'A game' when it came to this phase of the competition and our judges were definately impressed!
We saw grace and poise throughout the formal wear section and personality and style plus in our Catwalk Fashion phase!
Our ages ranged from a mere 18 days old up to 42 years. We had 2 lots of sisters, cousins, mother and daughter and more importantly friends competing with each other (never against each other!)
We cant thank our Beautiful judges enough either... it would not have been easy for them as competition was fierce!
Our judging panel (pictured right) consisted of professional photographer, George Azmy from 700 500 Photography, Monique Navratil, The current Miss Hope Australia 2015 and Miss Talea Kennedy-Clarke, a multi supreme winning Glitz Champion and philanthropist.
Our trophies featured the yellow childhood cancer awareness ribbon as the centre cap for our topper and was used to not only recognaise the work that Make-a-wish does with seriously ill children (many of whom suffer from some form of cancer) but also to honor the impact that Global United Pageants (based in Minnesota USA) makes within the global community. We we even fortunate enough to have the beautiful reining Teen titleholder present, Sonny Turner - Miss Teen Global United 2015.
In continuing with the gold theme (for cancer awareness) our Crowns were also gold in colour and featured rhinestoned black cats and spiders on them to mark the occassion that is HALLOWEEN!!!
In addition to Miss Turner we were also honoured to have had Miss Galaxy Finalist - Jasmine Farlow and Miss Teen Galaxy Finalist - Brittnee Sheath join us and talk about what pageantry and Galaxy mean to them.
As many people are aware, Future Faces is run completely not for profit. No money is ever personally made and the funds we receive are forwarded on to our selected charity. The proceeds from our Halloween pageant will be forwarded on to the Make-a-wish foundation in Australia and will go towards granting the wishes of seriously ill children.
Future faces would like to thank express trophies in St Marys for organizing the trophies and medals.
Alabama WS for our crowns, Skyewriting for donating vouchers to each of our contestants, the Band Club for waiving the venue hire fee and acting as our major sponsor, Crowning Glory for the inspiration bracelets that each contestant received and to my amazing husband (Ricardo) for assisting in the co-ordination of the entire event!
Future Faces will continue to host charity pageants throughout the 2016 calendar year and we hope to see you there!
