What makes a crown so special? Why do so many people fight for that one sparkly tiara, work for months and even years to win it and even possess over it to the point of no return?!
Is it the crown itself? or is it perhaps the system that the crown represents that makes it so desirable?
I know for me, as a competitor, i look beyond the crown and to the meaning behind it.
Im not simply after something that looks gorgeous on top of a head full of thick amazing locks or a crown that shines brighter than all others.
When looking for a system to compete in i research the system and its former queens. I look into what has been accomplished and how it was done, the merit and dedication behind the delegates and the support that comes from the system after a titleholders year of reign is over.
While many find it hard to believe I'm not interested in entering a pageant for the superficial and shallow reasons and i don't want the crown to simply add to my collection.
Im after something with substance and a title that will allow me to further the work that i do within my community, nation and globally.
I want to represent a brand with strong moral and ethic and alongside a director who shows compassion, dedication, loyalty and conviction. I want to be a part of THAT brand. To make that brand proud of the work that i have carried out while utilising their name. Having a gorgeous crown is simply part of the bonus package that comes along with the title.
While the last system i entered turned out to be the complete opposite of what i had hoped i know that moving forward the next chapter will be absolutely mind blowing!
Now, while i can't release information just yet i can tell you its coming up VERY soon and once again, my faith in pageantry has been completely restored!
